Testify Remotely
Any member of the public can "testify" on a bill. This means you register your opinion on the bill (support, oppose, or neutral), and add comments (House only). Committee members can see the number for and against a particular bill, and the comments.
You can testify remotely up to 11:59 pm on the day of a bill's hearing.
What you need to know
. Is the Bill in the Senate (SB) or the House (HB)? (they have separate web pages, see below)
. The Date the Bill is Being Heard
. The Committee Hearing the Bill
. The Bill Number
The House allows you to indicate your position on a bill, and enter comments directly or paste in text.
The Senate only allows you to indicate if you support or oppose a bill, there is no option to add comments.
