This has been done for the past 3 years. This helps fund the body cameras for the police.
-
-
The town did $20,000 in repairs in 2024 on the 2006 grader. The average lifespan of a grader is 20 years. Currently the town is renting a grader for the hours they are using it while the grader is under repairs. The town plans on doing the state bid process when buying a new grader.
-
-
When this fund was created in 1984 an agent wasn’t established. This allows the Select Board to take action without waiting for town voting.
-
Currently there is $115,000 in the fund. The town estimates $260,000 in projects to be done in the next few years.
-
Currently there is a $75,000 fund balance. The 2025 treatment is estimated to be $60,000. There is anticipated to be a grant match in 2025 of 50%.

To clarify, this article is only for $100,000, not $200,000. This is technically a loan, but it is a loan that acts like a grant. As long as the entity receiving the money does the work, then the loan will be forgiven.
-
The town lawyer has deemed this article to be not permitted and is unenforceable.
-
-
This article has no outcome other than than publicly shaming the law firm mentioned in the article. At the town deliberative session it was cautioned that voting yes on this article could make other law firms less likely to work with the town.
-
The Select Board and the Budget Committee voted against this article because they felt it was redundant to article #12.
-
This article would allow the town to adjust for changes in inflation and town population. The Budget Committee and Select Board would do this calculation. The Municipal Tax Cost Index can be found online each month and a year end average.
-
The newsletter has been printed and mailed since 1999. Due to lack of funding the last printed newsletter was in May 2024. This article was created to gauge the community’s desire to keep the printed newsletter. The Budget Committee does not recommend this article because they felt it was an area where money could be cut to help with the town’s tax cap.
-
This would increase the current amount of $98,700 to $121,000.
