Tackling the ER boarding crisis

Spring has finally sprung and I am happy to report that we accomplished some really important work for the people of New Hampshire at this week's meeting of the Governor and Executive Council!

We approved $15 million to help establish a new hospital in southern New Hampshire that will provide 120 new behavioral health beds to help alleviate the on-going emergency room boarding crisis in our state. This is a step in the right direction towards a long-term solution to the shortage of mental health care services that we have been facing, but there is more to be done to support those in need of critical care.
